Mission: We believe that organisations have a vital role to play in tackling today’s sustainability challenges and in being a force for good for the world. As individuals, we may not be able to change the world, but through our facilitated workshops, training programmes and consultancy services, we support forward-thinking organisations in their efforts to make conscious choices that are good for their bottom line, and good for people and planet, too. Our mission is to be multipliers: in doing what we do, we believe that my clients can change the world.
The story of Whitbys: Whitby’s came to life in 2004 and at the time, focused on communication (Suzanne’s background to that point). We worked with organisations of all shapes and sizes, across the globe, offering communication training and consulting, then offering team communication services, and in 2009, expanding into facilitation and moderation. Since that time, we’ve focused on working exclusively with organisations who are actively making changes to the way they work to benefit people and planet, whilst continuing to be profitable. In 2014, we shifted our focus a bit more to concentrate on working with organisations making changes in response to (or in anticipation of) sustainability challenges and climate change. We work with for-profit organisations as well as policy, research, and advocacy organisations, offering our unique mix of skills and experience to support them in their efforts to drive positive change.
I wanted to send you a personal note to thank you for all your support and efforts in helping us with this moderation. I admire your flexibility and adaptability to whatever curveballs we end up throwing at you, your ability to spontaneously reshuffle and reconceptualise the sessions, and your upbeat attitude and energy!
