To solve problems, it makes good sense to tap into the collective brain power of the group. What happens if you know that there are problems to solve but you’re not sure of their root causes? The group comes to the rescue yet again!

An increasingly complex world means increasingly complex problems. Sure, you could just ignore problems and carry on regardless, but that will leave you in fire-fighting mode when the consequences rear their ugly heads! You could also tackle the problem, but you might first have to ask yourself whether you are solving the RIGHT problem!

An overview of the workshops:

If you have a problem in mind but are unsure of its causes, we can facilitate a root-causes workshop that focuses on uncovering the possible reasons why a process is beginning to have difficulties, problems, or breakdowns.

This workshop critically assesses what’s going wrong and helps you find out what your options are to solve it, before you decide on the perfect solution.

Finally, if uncovering the problem and agreeing on a solution is part of the problem, our problem framing workshops are exceptional at aligning everyone’s agenda and focus attention on the crux of the problem.


  • Look at the micro and macro trends affecting the business, or the business context
  • Challenge need behind the question, and whether it’s justifiable
  • Explore the audience or customer and their needs
  • Find the opportunity
  • Drive stakeholder buy-in
  • Craft problem statements

By the end of the session, you’ll have a clear set of problems to solve (all of which you understand and agree upon) and you can start working on the problem solving aspect.
